This one was my bathroom reading for quite a while because, well, I’ll read anything. But it was pretty awful and I’d not recommend you do the same. If you’re looking for a history of the glory years of MGM and its leading ladies, this is not it. Instead, it’s a poorly-written collection of rumors and gossip, heavy on the thought that the Garbos and Crawfords and Turners of the world were hopping from bed to bed and getting abortions any time they weren’t on the screen.
